Sion's mother ( シオン・の ・お母さん , Shion No Okāsan ) gave birth to Sion after engaging in a relationship with his father, the king of Roland. Though Sion's father abandoned them soon afterwards, Sion and his mother were quite close even before she succumbed to her illness. Her horrific treatment by the royal family before her death and after when they sent a dead dog to Sion's house began Sion's descent onto his path to combat the corrupt rulers of the Roland Empire. She first appears in the prologue of Volume 2 - The Destined Three-Legged Race in the DYD novels and a series of flashbacks at the beginning of episode 2. She is voiced by Saeko Chiba in the LofLH.
